The components behind the perimeter.

Palisade fencing is a vertical-pale perimeter used for industrial plants, utility compounds and rail boundaries. It provides a strong, transparent barrier that is difficult to climb or cut through. Pale thickness, bay height and top style are chosen for the security level needed—thicker pales and taller sections where security requirements are higher. GV sources all pales, rails and posts to your thickness and height specification.

Palisade Fence supplies the pales, angle rails, steel posts and connection plates. Machine Bolts join the rails to the posts; Carriage Bolts fix each pale to the rails with a round head and square neck, secured by a shear nut so fixings cannot be accessed from outside. All components are sourced hot-dip galvanized to ASTM A123, with powder coat finishes available to your specification.

Chain-link is the standard fence fabric for commercial yards, schools, sports facilities and industrial perimeters across the US. The mesh hangs on round steel posts and a top rail: line posts support it along the run, while terminal posts at ends, corners and gates resist the full tension of the stretched fabric. Framework components are specified by post and rail sizes, typically to ASTM F626 fitting dimensions.

The Tension Bar threads through the last row of mesh and is clamped to each terminal post with tension bands and Carriage Bolts, pulling the fabric tight. The Truss Rod runs diagonally from the brace rail to the terminal post base, using a truss tightener to prevent the post from leaning under fabric tension. Fence Fittings supply tension and brace bands, rail end cups, post caps and sleeves. Your contractor provides the mesh fabric, steel posts and top rail.

A security topping adds barbed wire above an existing chain-link fence without replacing it. The wire is held outward at 45 degrees or in a vertical V configuration, making the fence harder to climb. Arms are selected to fit the post diameter—the same arm can mount on line posts or terminal posts, with the top rail passing through on line positions.

Barbed Wire Arms are pressed-steel collars that fit over standard post tops and hold three or six strands. GV sources arms for 1-5/8 to 2-1/2 inch (42 to 64 mm) posts. Fence Fittings supply wire ties and mounting bands; Carriage Bolts secure the arms to the posts. This retrofit system lets you upgrade security without fence replacement.

Double gates on chain-link and farm fences require one leaf to stay firmly in place while the other swings. A drop rod slides down through guides into a ground anchor to pin the stationary leaf. A fork latch connects the two leaves, and hinges on the gate posts support the weight of the swinging leaf. This design keeps both leaves aligned regardless of wind or load.

Gate Drop Rods are L-bend rods in 1/2 or 5/8 inch (12.7 or 15.9 mm) drawn steel, with 5/16 inch (8 mm) gate rods, sized to your frame. Fence Fittings supply hinges, fork latches and drop-rod guides. Carriage Bolts secure hinges and guides to the gate frame; Machine Bolts hold brackets on the gate posts. GV sources all components hot-dip galvanized to ASTM A123.

Pasture and ranch fences run barbed, woven or high-tensile wire along lines of steel posts driven directly into the ground. Posts go in quickly with a hand or power driver—no concrete, no heavy equipment. Strainer posts at the ends and corners resist the wire tension. This design covers long distances efficiently and is ideal for livestock containment and property boundaries.

Fence Posts are studded T-posts formed from 2.0 mm (14 gauge) steel strip, with heavier gauges available. An anchor plate at the base sets the post firmly in the ground. Studs along the post face grip wire clips at standard spacing. Fence Fittings supply the clips and ties that secure each wire strand. GV sources posts hot-dip galvanized to ASTM A123 or A153, with custom profiles available on order.
