Palisade Fence
Palisade Fence is a steel security fence of vertical D or W section pales bolted to horizontal angle rails carried on posts and joined with connection plates. It is used for perimeter security at industrial facilities, utilities and boundary applications. Specify the height, pale section and thickness, top style, finish, post fixing and the quantity you need.
At a glance
Vertical pales come in D or W corrugated section, with tops shaped to your specification: triple point, single point, round, notched round, or flat. The pale geometry and top style define the security appearance and how the fence presents itself to the perimeter.
Bays of 2.75 m with 17 pales, angle rails from 40 x 40 x 6 to 75 x 50 x 6 mm, RSJ posts 100 x 50 x 6 and 110 x 80 x 6 mm, fish plates 170 x 30 x 5 mm, and M8 and M12 bolts with shear nuts. Heights from 1.2 to 3.6 m.
Posts are set in concrete, or bolted down on base plates where the ground is already paved. The fence comes plain, hot dip galvanized or powder coated over the galvanizing.
Two or three angle rails run between RSJ posts at 2.75 m centers. Seventeen pales bolt to the rails in each bay, with shear nuts on the outside face so the fixings cannot be undone. The result is a continuous wall of steel pales with shaped tops along the whole boundary.
Common applications
Surround manufacturing plants, utility substations, and mechanical equipment areas where a defined barrier and finished appearance both matter. Choose security-grade pales and barbed-wire topping where climbing is a specific risk.
Enclose rail yards, loading bays and transport depots with a fence that holds the same height and line along long runs. The shaped pale tops make the fence harder to climb.
Use palisade where the fence is part of how the site looks as well as how it is secured, such as business parks, public buildings and schools, with powder coating in the site's color.
