Fabricated Products

Some steel parts never come off a standard list. GV sources them made to order: hand rails for platforms and stairs, recessed covers that take block paving, post saddles set into concrete footings, turnbuckle aligners that pull formwork into line, and other custom components. None has a stock size or a fixed specification. Qualified manufacturing partners make each one to the buyer's drawing, sample or requirement, and GV quotes it for that order.

Plants, warehouses and mezzanines

Raised platforms, mezzanine floors, stair flights and walkways need guarding along every open edge. The railing has to follow the structure it is fixed to, so post positions, returns and stair rakes are set out from the site drawing. Fabricated Hand Rails do this work.

Paved driveways, courtyards and plazas

Where block paving runs over drainage and service chambers, a plain cover breaks the pattern. A recessed tray filled with the same pavers keeps the access point in line with the surface around it. Block Paviour is made for these surfaces.

Carports, pergolas and verandas

Timber posts do better standing clear of the concrete and the wet ground around a footing. A saddle set into the footing holds each post above the surface and takes bolts through its side plates. The Rebar Carport Saddle is built around that detail.

Walls, footings and kerbs formed in place

Formwork is set to a string line, then has to stay on that line while concrete is placed against it. Adjustable braces between the forms and the ground push or pull each face until it is plumb and straight, and hold it there through the pour. That is the job of the Turnbuckle Form Aligner.

Questions answered

Common questions about custom fabrication.

Why do fabricated products have no standard sizes?
Fabricated products are made to fit one structure, surface or form. A hand rail follows the platform it guards, and a recessed cover matches the chamber and paving it sits in. GV works from the buyer's drawing, sample or requirement, so every order is sized and quoted on its own.
What does a quote for a fabricated part need?
A drawing or sketch with the main dimensions, the quantity, the finish and the US delivery location. Photographs of an existing part, or a sample, also work as a starting point. The GV team reviews the requirement and asks for anything missing before the quote is prepared.
Does GV source parts that are not listed here?
Yes. The products in this range are examples of made-to-order work. Send the drawing, sample or specification for any steel component. GV reviews the requirement with you, places it with a qualified manufacturing partner for the processes it needs, and manages inspection and delivery to your job site or distributor.
What finishes are fabricated parts supplied in?
The finish is part of the requirement, not a catalog option. State the coating the job calls for, such as paint or galvanizing, together with any color and the conditions the part will face. GV confirms the finish with its partner and quotes it together with the part.
