GV sources hot-rolled flat steel, deformed reinforcing bar and wire rod from qualified manufacturing partners in India, for US fabricators, press shops, concrete contractors and wire drawers. Hot-rolled coils and sheets go to buyers who cut, press, form or weld in their own shops. Deformed bar, in straight lengths or in coils, goes into footings, slabs, columns and walls. Dowel bars carry load across the joints in slabs and pavements, and wire rod goes to the plants that draw it into wire. Sizes are quoted to the requirement, and the standard is confirmed for each order.

Fabrication and press shops
Shops that cut, bend, press or weld their own parts start from flat steel. Hot-rolled coil feeds slitting, cut-to-length and roll-forming lines, and hot-rolled sheet goes straight to the cutting table or the press. HR Coils and HR Sheets cover this work.
Reinforced concrete structures
Footings, slabs, columns and walls carry deformed bar, cut and bent to the bar schedule. Straight lengths suit site cutting and bar-bending yards, and coils feed automatic straightening and bending machines. Rebar and Rebar Coils cover this work.
Wire drawing and mesh plants
Wire drawers pull rod through a series of dies to make wire for nails, mesh, fencing, binding wire and fasteners. Low-carbon rod in coil feeds the drawing line directly. Wire Rod covers this work.
Slabs and pavements
Concrete slabs and pavements are poured in panels. Smooth round bars set across each joint pass load from one panel to the next while the panels move with temperature and shrinkage. Dowel bars do this work.

Which sizes can be supplied?
Send the product, size, grade, quantity and delivery location with your inquiry. GV confirms what the qualified partner can supply to the named standard before the order is placed.
Should I buy HR coil or HR sheet?
Coil suits shops with slitting, cut-to-length or roll-forming lines that process steel in volume. Sheet arrives already cut to length, so it suits smaller runs and shops without coil-processing equipment.
What is the difference between rebar in lengths and rebar in coils?
Straight lengths are cut and bent on site or in a bar-bending yard. A coil holds one continuous bar that feeds a straightening and bending machine, which cuts each bar to the length on the schedule with less offcut.
Can grades to other standards be quoted?
Yes. Grades to other standards, including the IS and BS designations, can be quoted on request. Name the standard, grade and any mill test report requirement with the inquiry.
