Concrete & Construction

The components behind the pour.

Concrete pouring requires forms to hold shape, stakes to set position, ties to hold faces under load, reinforcement prepared in advance, and cast-in anchors to support the structure after. GV supplies each component as a standalone product or part of an assembly. These seven sections describe how they work together.

CONCRETE SYSTEMS

How the components work together.

Below are seven systems that show each GV component's role in concrete construction work. Each describes the operation and identifies which products are used together.

CONCRETE SYSTEMS

Seven systems around concrete work.

Each section explains how the components work together and names the GV products used.

TEMPORARY FORMING

Slab-on-ground edge and conventional formwork

US contractors secure temporary form edges using driven stakes that hold line and level during setup and concrete placement. GV sources stakes in profiles matched to your board type and soil conditions—each profile addresses different anchoring and retention needs.

GV Round Stakes suit any board type and standard ground. Flat Stakes maximize bearing face for soft-ground conditions where surface contact is critical. Rebar-profile and Square Stakes provide alternatives for loose or rotating soil. Formwork Pins offer holed alternatives where mechanical lock is preferred. All products arrive ready to drive with documentation supporting your site setup.

FOUNDATION WORK

Footings, foundations and cast-in connections

Foundation and footing work starts with form edges, reinforcement fabric and cast-in steel elements assembled before the concrete pour. GV sources complete systems to spec with documentation supporting pre-pour inspection and field records.

GV supplies Cut Rebar to ASTM A615 grades, cut to your length and laid per your reinforcement design. Wire ties intersections and holds cage geometry. Anchor Bolts (ASTM A307/A325) are positioned to project through hardened concrete for base-plate and equipment assembly. Plate Washers complete the bearing connection. All components arrive with mill test reports and certifications.

FIXED-FORM PAVING

Road, pavement, curb and footpath edges

Ready-mix and paving contractors establish line and profile for concrete pavements, curbs, channels and footpath edges using steel forms that remain in place on grade through the pour. GV supplies complete reusable form systems with setup drawings and spare hardware.

GV Road Form Pins are driven through built-in form pockets to secure the form to grade and hold it to line and level. Temporary edges beside the fixed form are held by GV Round Stakes or Formwork Pins. Complete systems arrive with assembly documentation, bolt patterns and spare pin counts supporting rapid job-site installation and concrete placement.

FORM TIES

Form alignment and tying

GV form-tie assemblies manage hydrostatic concrete pressure during pours, holding opposing form faces together under controlled load. The Tie Rod spans the gap between faces and carries the horizontal pressure.

At each end, a Tie Rod Nut engages the thread while a Plate Washer distributes bearing load on the form face. GV Threaded Rods provide alternative all-thread options for rod-and-plate assembly configurations. Complete kits arrive with torque specifications, bolt patterns and assembly drawings supporting safe field installation and controlled concrete placement.

CONCRETE JOINTS

Concrete joint bar placement

Concrete pavement and slab joints use dowel bars to transfer loads across control and construction joints as the concrete settles and moves with temperature. GV Dowel Bars sit in the joint and carry shear load from one side to the other.

GV supplies Dowel Bars as smooth round bars placed across the joint—they accommodate movement and do not bond to concrete. Cut Rebar in ASTM A615 supports the concrete body on either side of the joint. Complete systems arrive with placement drawings, spacing specifications and certifications supporting inspection and pre-pour setup.

REINFORCEMENT PREPARATION

Reinforcement preparation for slabs and cages

Slabs, industrial floors and reinforcement cages are laid and secured before concrete placement. GV supplies Cut Rebar cut to length and laid per your reinforcement design, with bars positioned and secured at intersections.

GV Cut Rebar to ASTM A615 grades arrives cut to your specifications and laid in your fabric pattern. ASTM A82 Wire ties bar intersections and holds cage position and geometry through setup and the pour. Cut Bars and Dowel Bars are available for joint work and load-transfer applications. Complete systems ship with placement drawings, certifications and MTRs supporting your pre-pour inspection.

CAST-IN ANCHORAGE

Foundation and base-plate anchorage

GV cast-in Anchor Bolts embed in the foundation during the concrete pour, locking in place as concrete cures. The threaded projection extends above the hardened concrete surface for base-plate and equipment connections.

GV sources bolts to ASTM A307 or A325 grip with Plate Washers to distribute nut bearing load on the base-plate surface. Threaded Rods provide alternative all-thread configurations where rod-and-plate assembly is preferred. All systems arrive with template drawings, torque specifications and mill certifications supporting foundation setup and equipment installation from bid through commissioning.
