How it works

Nuts and couplers engage the threads

Thread matching nuts or couplers onto the rod. Plates and other connected parts seat at the assembly ends, with nuts tightened to create the working connection.

What else are threaded rods called?

In the US, they are called all-thread rods. In Spanish, they are barra roscada. They are manufactured in multiple thread standards for different applications.

What thread types and specifications do threaded rods have?

Threaded rods come in diameters from 1/4" to 2-1/2" (M6–M60 metric) with UNC threads in V, coil, or square acme profiles per ASTM A307. Finishes include stainless steel or zinc plated.
