Turn the wing nut to raise or lower the stem until the standard sits plumb. The base plate distributes the load of the standard and its bay of scaffold across the ground surface.

How it works

Screw the stem to adjust the standard height

Set the base plate on the ground and place the standard foot on top. Thread the wing nut onto the exposed stem. Turn the nut clockwise or counterclockwise to raise or lower the standard until it stands plumb. The cast or forged wing nut is sized to turn by hand or with a key.

Cuplock bays must sit level even across terrain that slopes. Adjust each base jack independently to bring every standard plumb, so the scaffold level and the bays carrying ledgers sit true.

Platforms on tube-and-fitting scaffolds rest on support beams. Base jacks under each point of the support frame level the beams so the deck does not tilt, and set the platform to the height required for the job.
