G Pin

G Pin is a G-shaped round steel pin that passes through the inner tube of a prop to set the coarse height adjustment. The hooked shape locks it in place and keeps it captive in the prop assembly, resting on the prop nut below. It also sets the length of trench struts. Hire fleets keep replacement pins in each size series to cover lost or bent pins in the fleet. Specify the size (#0–#4) and the quantity you need.

How it works

The pin hooks into the inner tube's holes to set height

The G pin drops through the hole in the inner tube and rests on the prop nut threaded onto the outer tube below. Raising or lowering the prop nut moves the support point up and down, while the pin remains seated and held by its hooked shape. To adjust height coarsely, lift the pin, reposition it to the next hole in the sequence, and reseat it on the nut.
