Threaded Rods / Bars are steel rods threaded along their full length, used to hang pipe clamps, trapezes and ceiling services from the structure above, and in anchors and fixings. GV sources these in inch and metric sizes, carbon steel, B7 alloy and stainless. Specify diameter, length, thread, grade, finish and quantity.

UNC and metric threads
Buyers specify the thread and grade: ASTM A307 or class 4.8 and 8.8 carbon steel, ASTM A193 B7, or stainless steel.
1/4 to 2-1/2 in, M6 to M60
1/4–2-1/2 in (M6–M60), 2–19 ft (1–5.8 m) long, UNC thread in V, coil, square or Acme form, plain, zinc plated or hot dip galvanized.

Cut to the drop, nut to the level
The rod is cut to the drop and screwed into an anchor or beam clamp above. The pipe clamp or trapeze channel is fixed on the lower end, and nuts and washers either side set it to height. Turning the nuts later raises or lowers the pipe without taking it down.

Pipe hangers
Single clamps hang on one rod each at the spacing the pipe needs. The rod size follows the pipe and clamp.
Trapezes and ceiling services
Strut trapezes, duct hangers and cable tray hang on pairs of rods. The same rod supports suspended ceilings and lighting.
Anchors and fixings
Cut lengths of rod are set in resin and cast-in anchors or used as studs. Stainless rod suits wet and corrosive areas.

In the US it is threaded rod or all thread. In Spanish it is called a varilla roscada or barra roscada.
Which threaded rod grades does GV supply?
GV supplies carbon steel to ASTM A307 or property class 4.8 and 8.8, ASTM A193 B7 alloy rod and stainless steel, in UNC, BSW or DIN 975 / DIN 976 metric thread. Sizes run from 1/4 to 2-1/2 in and M6 to M60, 2 to 19 ft (0.6 to 5.8 m) long.
