Sump Receiver (Finish: Zinc Plated, Powder Coated) is a square steel plate with a raised round collar that fills the opening cut in a metal roof deck and carries the roof drain body. It forms the sump the roof drains into. Specify plate size, collar size to suit the drain, thickness, finish and the quantity you need.

Sized to the drain body
The round collar is formed to the diameter of the drain it receives, so the drain body sits centered in the sump.
16 to 24 in square plate
Square plates 16 x 16 in to 24 x 24 in (400–600 mm) or to drawing, 20G–14G (1–2 mm), raised round collar sized to the drain, zinc plated or powder coated.
Set in the deck, drain on top
An opening is cut in the steel deck at the drain position. The receiver is set over it with its plate bearing on the deck flutes and is fixed to the deck. The drain body sits in the collar, the roof insulation and membrane are laid up to it, and the drain's clamping ring seals the membrane.

Overflow drains
Overflow drains set beside the main drains are seated the same way. The receiver is sized to the overflow drain body.
Re-roofing work
When roofs are stripped and renewed, corroded receivers are replaced to suit the new drains. Powder-coated plates add protection.

What else is a sump receiver called?
US roof drain suppliers call it a sump receiver or roof drain sump receiver. The plate is also known as a deck plate.
How is a sump receiver sized?
The collar is sized to the drain body it receives and the plate to span the opening cut in the deck and bear on the deck flutes. GV supplies square plates from 16 x 16 in to 24 x 24 in (406 to 610 mm) or to drawing, in 20G to 14G steel, zinc plated or powder coated.
