Bracing and light frames
Angles brace solar tables front to back and side to side, and make stands and small frames.

Ground Mountings & Purlins
Slotted, Solid, Punched Angles are equal steel angles, slotted along their length, punched to a drawing, or plain. They bolt together into bracing, stands and light frames for solar arrays and other structures without drilling on site. Specify size, thickness, type, finish and the quantity you need.
At a glance
Angles brace solar tables front to back and side to side, and make stands and small frames.
Slotted angle takes bolts anywhere along its length; punched angle has holes at the positions on the drawing; solid angle is drilled or welded as needed.
Equal angles 1 x 1 to 4 x 4 in (25 x 25 to 100 x 100 mm), 20Ga–8Ga (1–4 mm), painted in yellow, green or black, or galvanized.
Also known as
Spanish-speaking crews call it ángulo perforado.
The angle is cut to length and bolted to the posts, rafters or other angles through its slots or punched holes. Slots let the brace be set to the exact position before the bolts are tightened.
Common applications
Diagonal braces between posts and rafters stiffen each table. Punched angles match the hole positions on the drawing.
Raised frames on flat roofs are braced with angles. Light sections keep the roof load down.
Equipment stands, cable supports and shelving are bolted from slotted angle. Colours identify frames on site.
